Earth Science Discovery Centre
The Earth Science Discovery Centre is an exciting new concept for science communication at all levels. It is a space designed for small groups (up to 25) to explore more advanced Earth Science, particularly in 3-D. The equipment includes 3-D projection and 3-D monitors so that cutting-edge visualisation techniques and programs of all kinds can be viewed.
It is available for use by research groups, for specialised undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and for special programs for selected teachers and/or school students organised by the University. It will be open, and we will be running 3-D sessions, during UWA Open Day, which is on August 9th this year.
If you are interested in a visit involving the Earth Science Discovery Centre, please contact the Head of School, Professor Lyn Abbott, via jking@cyllene.uwa.edu.au |
