Honours Libraries

ThesesThe Honours Thesis Libraries for Geology and Geography majors are kept by the Museum. MSc by coursework theses and some other types are also available. The theses may be read on site but must not leave the building, so are not available for loan.

Access: The theses are kept in a Teaching laboratory store to which access is not always possible, so the Thesis Library is normally open only on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings between 9.30am and 12.30pm. If it is not possible for you to come during those times, please contact the Curator for a special appointment.

Copying: Photocopying is permitted on signing a copyright acknowledgement form and there is a photocopier on site (pay cash or cheque). Interstate users who cannot access the theses may pay for a copy to be made for them by the Curator.

Databases: The databases are available by email as excel files from the Curator or by downloading the files below. The code letter with geology theses indicates the region of WA, such as "S" for "southwest" and "M" for "Murchison" and the note "n/f" means "not found" i.e. never received by the Librarian.

PhD and MSc by thesis volumes should normally be accessed in the Scholars' Centre of the Reid Library, although for convenience the School's backup copies of this type of thesis have been listed on the database and are also available as part of the Honours Library.
